Lacey was born deaf and has been trained with hand signals and sign language.  Whether training or racing, she loves running in the start position because she is guaranteed a head to head race with the dog in the other lane.  She has always been very shy and prefers women handlers but will come to just about anyone that is offering a treat.  Lacey loves going on family camping trips and playing in the water in streams, lakes or pools.
